CD-Wechsler für Radio Harmony

hi gert,

ich hab (wie ja im artikel beschrieben) meinen bass-endverstärker unter dem handschuhfach montiert. das ding is ca. 40 mm hoch und stört überhaupt nich. ich denke mal, 20 mm mehr sind auch noch verträglich, aber dann wird´s kritisch.

außerdem: wenn der beifahrer (bzw. die beifahrerin) die beine überschlägt, kann der cd-wechsler schon mal nen stoß abbekommen. aus dem grund hab ich meinen wechsler ins handschuhfach verfrachtet.

I'm really surprised. Before installing the Soundlinx converter I 've had contact with 2connect in GB and with their Dutch partner. It's from them that I got the information that 'the steering wheel functions would probably not fully work' - but they weren't really sure.....
So your information is very interesting for those who are looking for an alternative installation to the Soundlinx Converter and the Alpine CHM-S620 (and probably for 2connect also..!!).

Please tell, is the installation as simple as it is with the Soundlinx box? Just three wires (+12 V, earth, and the k-bus) and a completely ready audio-cable to connect?

If so, the Sony Unilink sollution might indeed be a better offer!

you can be sure, the steering wheel controls all the functions of the changer right as it does with the original configuration.
(thats what 2connect also told me bofore i bought the adapter)
installation is very simple, the adapter will be shipped with all connectors to fit the original symphony unit. installation will take only one 1 minute, its really ""plug and play"".
Compared to the original pricing of nearly 500,-Euro for the rover changer I think I've made a good deal with 210,- Euro for the sony changer and the adapter.

Hi mydream,

You now talk about the symphony unit or did you mean the harmony unit? Gert has, like myself, a harmony unit. I don't know whether there is a lot of (electronic) difference between the two systems, but I do know the Soundlinx converters have different connectors for the symphony and the harmony system. Maybe that's the reason why you and me got different information from 2connect.

If you talk about the symphony unit (Alpine unit), your information is important for R75mario, who has a symphony unit and is looking for a CD-changer to install. He already bought a Alpine changer but he will need to buy a converter or maybe it is wiser now to buy your Sony system and sell the Alpine changer instead. Maybe you could help him with some info.

hi yvo, you are right, i checked it with my symphony unit and everything is working well.
as there is also an adapter available for the harmony unit i thought, that it will work the same way. I've seen pictures of the harmony and the symohony adapter and they looked absolutely the same. so I thought that the connections at the harmony are the same as they are at the symphony. but maybe im wrong, so please use my advice only if you own a symphony unit.

Hi Rovers,

seit heute hat mein Glider einen CD-Wechsler. Es ist war der gleiche, der für teures Geld bei Rover als Zubehör zu haben ist, jedoch nicht mit der speziellen Rover-Software. Einzelheiten dazu hier im gleichen thread vorher.

Dank unseres Mitgliedes Yvo aus den Niederlanden, der mir den Wechsler, einen Konverter und die erforderlichen Kabel zusammen mit ausführlichen Einbauanleitungen besorgt hat, habe ich endlich vernünftige Musik an Bord und das für die Hälfte des Original-Rover-Preises.



Genauso muß unsere Community funktionieren: Jeder hilft jedem!
